We’ve talked about breweries and hidden bars, so this feels like a natural next step. If you’re looking for a fun night at cocktail bars in Edmonton, know that there are some truly amazing options awaiting you. From a focus on the drinks, to incredible spaces, and everything in between, you really can’t go wrong for your next pre-dinner treat or a little nightcap.
Here are the best spots to grab a cocktail in Edmonton.
One of the best bars in Canada, and we’re not just saying that. It’s only fair we kick off this list with Bar Clementine, which has become synonymous with delicious drinks, a wonderful space, and a memorable experience each and every time you visit.
Where: 11957 Jasper Avenue
The sister spot to Bar Clementine, and worth a visit in its own right. Boasting one of the most extensive collection of spirits in the province, Woodwork is a go-to option for cocktails of all kinds. But, there’s one that gets special treatment here- we hope you like Old Fashioneds!
Where: 10132 100 Street NW
Located in the JW Marriott hotel, Alchemy Bar matches a wonderful cocktail menu with a rarity in the city- semi bird’s eye views of the ICE District and the city beyond. Great for a fancy warm up before a concert or a game at Rogers Place, if we do say so ourselves.
Where: 10344 102 Street NW

On the flipside, Edmonton has a couple of spots that are much more than the exterior suggests. First up? Fu’s Repair Shop, which has cleverly transformed a former garage (fun, we know) into a spot offering lively cocktails and dim sum-focused small plates.
Where: 9902 109 Street
When you have to go down stairs instead of up to enter, you’re either entering a dive bar or a hidden gem. Luckily, Pablo is very assuredly in the latter group- the swanky, neon-filled spot has become a must-try hangout for those in the know, and the people watching is almost as good as the drinks on offer.
Where: 10432 Jasper Avenue
Last up, two absolute mainstays in the city. Baijiu (and the more secretive Little Hong Kong inside) is one of the most energetic cocktail bars in Edmonton. Our advice? Head down there with a few pals, so you can take advantage of their ‘B.I.G.’ (read: shareable) cocktail bowls.
Where: 10359 104 Street NW
Light and homey, pip represents some of the best Edmonton has to offer, and that extends to their cocktails. We’ll be honest, there are few things we look forward to more than heading down there for a little weekend brunch with a couple of cocktails to match, before walking around Old Strathcona to shake it off.
