While we might not compare to say, New York, there’s still some great options in the city! Ahead of the warmer weather, we decided to round up the best hidden bars and speakeasies around Edmonton. After all, what’s more fun than capping off a night out with a memorable drink or two?
Here are the best hidden bars and speakeasies around Edmonton.
Alchemy
Of course, it’s only fair that we start off with the most well-known of the bunch! This bar is quite literally hidden, located behind a bookshelf on the fifth floor of the JW Marriott in the ICE District. Behind there, delicious cocktails and bar snacks await!

Little Hong Kong
Named one of Canada’s best new bars when it first opened, Little Hong Kong is an extra-secret spot inside the already amazing Baijiu. Ask for a table here, and you’ll be led through a cabinet into the opulent and fully decorated space to enjoy.

DOSC
Even if it’s not tucked away behind a fridge or something, we think the cocktail bar at DOSC is well deserving of a place on this list. Half because you basically need to walk through the entire restaurant to get there, and half because the interior design will have you wanting to stay for an extra snack time after time.
Where: 10190 104 Street NW
The Bower
Arguably the most high-energy spot on here, but with good reason. Dark and moody without being overbearing, The Bower offers a great option for a night out that alternates between relaxing in a vintage couch, getting up to dance, grabbing a nice drink, and doing it all over again.
Where: 10538 Jasper Avenue
Pablo Cocktail Lounge
While it’s not hidden per se, stepping inside this swanky underground cocktail bar will have you feeling like you’re in Hollywood in the 60’s. And, if that doesn’t conjure up visions of a speakeasy (alongside a cosmopolitan or two), then we don’t know what will.

And, those are our picks for the best hidden bars and speakeasies around Edmonton! Now, you’ve got options for the next time you feel like a swanky night out would be the perfect move.
