A new upscale steakhouse is opening this spring in the old Jack Astor’s location on Macleod

Got the meats? This spring, hungry foodies will be able to indulge in local beef and craft beer at Tomahawk Kitchen and Bar, Calgary, a brand new steak house projected to open in April of 2022.

Serving what they describe as “upscale contemporary cuisine,” Tomahawk will be all about high-quality, creative eats with ingredients sourced from all over Canada.

“Tomahawk Kitchen and Bar was founded by a team of like-minded foodies; a group of restauranteur’s who have always liked to eat, drink, and create amazing food together,” they write on their website.

“Our mission is to provide high-quality food for all those that wish to combine fun and enjoyable ambiance with skillful cooking into one extraordinary dining experience.”

While a full menu has yet to be released, guests can expect items like carpaccio and lobster Thermidor in addition to their signature tenderloin and extensive ale selection.

As we mentioned, it’ll only be a matter of time until you’ll be able to settle into their Macleod Trail resto – which many of you may recognize as the old Jack Astors in the SW – so stay hungry, Calgary!

It’s going to be a tasty spring season.
