A new market is coming to the city this weekend that will bring together local businesses, artisans, and food trucks all in one place. If you want to get a head start on your holiday shopping or simply treat yourself to something delicious, this is the place to be.

Immersive Klimt
A new immersive art experience has officially opened its doors in Toronto. Through breathtaking 360 projections, the revolutionary works of Gustav Klimt come to life all around you. Klimt is described as a “rebel, genius and legend” of a painter, and now you can be swept up in his electrifying world. Tickets start at $39 each and come with timed entry, so you have a dedicated window to enjoy Klimt’s masterpieces in all their glory.

Distillery District Fall Market
An adorable fall market is happening in the charming Distillery District this month. The festival is free to attend, but you’ll want to bring your shopping bags and your appetite! There are so many goodies for sale, including Gooderham & Worts Butter Scotch tarts, fresh seasonal pies, floral bouquets for your apartment, and pumpkin treats for your furry friend. You can also pose for pictures in front of the pumpkins, hay bundles, and fall foliage displays.

Mac n’ Cheese Festival
The title pretty much says it all. Come hungry and get ready to feast on all the mac n’ cheese you can handle at this free festival. Whether you’d prefer to eat it in a bun or with a fork, you’ll be gobbling up every last bite of this comfort food staple. There will be tons of vendors to try, so prepare for a cheesy feast unlike any other.

Legends of Horror
Casa Loma is transforming into a terrifying immersive experience this spooky season. Wander through a 2 km trail through the castle’s gardens, tunnels and some of the “darkest spaces never open to the public,” where theatrical experiences and elaborate sets will haunt you at every turn. The “crescendo” of the experience will bring the walls of the castle to life through incredible 3D projections. We’ve got goosebumps already!

Comeback Festival
Celebrate the return of live events in the city at this free festival. This 3-day event is all about highlighting “hospitality, art, music, local businesses and the community that has stuck together to survive through COVID-19.” It’ll be an experience in the city’s top local talent in various industries, including arts, entertainment, culinary, and music. Come out and soak up the good vibes!

Fan Expo Canada
Fan Expo is officially returning this month! Known as the biggest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in North America, the 3-day affair will be packed with non-stop action. Oktoberfest
Get ready to bust out your finest lederhosen! An Oktoberfest celebration is happening right in the heart of downtown at Fall n’ Leaves, Toronto’s fall-themed pop-up patio, and it’ll be a whole weekend of Bavarian festivities. Get ready to dance the night away to live music and DJs for an Oktoberfest with a “techno twist.”

Black Lagoon Halloween Pop-up
Until the end of October, a Halloween-themed pop-up bar called Black Lagoon is serving up creepy cocktails and live entertainment in a spooky atmosphere in the city. Some of the featured drinks include The Bloodlust, The Darkness, and a unique concoction served in a skull. You’ll need to be dressed up in costume to get in for free and showing up in your regular clothes will cost you $20 at the door, so you may want to throw a spooky look together!

Cranberry Harvest
Ask anyone who’s been to the iconic Cranberry Harvest and they’ll tell you that it’s totally worth the drive. This fun time of year runs until late October this year and it’s set to rake in a whopping 400,000 lbs of cranberries! There is so much to do at the farm but the most popular activity is the cranberry plunge, where you get to throw on a pair of waders and roam your way through a sea of red berries. You’ll want to book your tickets in advance to get a spot.
