Ready to have a freakishly good time? The Halloween bar of your dreams (or should we say nightmares) has arrived in Toronto for an entire month of devilish debauchery. Running on select dates throughout October, Black Lagoon will serve up creepy cocktails in an equally creepy immersive space.
Black Lagoon is a playful celebration of all things horror, goth, and metal where you can dress up in your weirdest costume and “let your freak flag fly.”
The space features “nightly performances, creep-shows, and a mysterious back room” for you to discover if you dare.
The pop-up is brought to us by two veterans of the hospitality industry, Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage, who cooked up their first Halloween pop-up back in 2019 in New Orleans. After its success, the two decided they needed to bring the pop-up elsewhere and make it “bigger, creepier, and louder than ever.”
Admission is free, but there’s a catch. You’ll need to be dressed up in costume to get in free of charge and showing up in your regular clothes will cost you $20 at the door.

The creepy cocktails on the menu are something to behold. Some of the drinks highlighted on Black Lagoon’s Instagram are called The Bloodlust, The Darkness, and a unique concoction served in a skull.
The waitlist opens on October 14th at 4:30 p.m., so mark your calendar. You’ll need to add your name and your party to the waitlist on the pop-up bar’s website, and your whole party must be together before you’re called for a table.
And if you’ve still got a thirst for blood-themed beverages afterward, Wonderland’s Halloween Haunt is serving up boozy drinks in blood bags this month.
From authentic Victorian séances to pitch-black horror mazes, there’s no shortage of terrifying experiences around the city to get you into the Halloween spirit this October. The question is, are you brave enough to try them all?
