Red Light has been Seattle’s biggest vintage clothing store since 1996. They have clothing from every era for the past 100 years so you’re almost guaranteed to find something no matter what your costume idea is. From band tees to whimsical pieces, they have it.

If you want to keep your costume costs low then a trip to Goodwill is an excellent choice. You pretty much never know what you’ll find and inspiration might just strike for a costume idea while you’re wandering the aisles. Not to mention they always have a Halloween section.

Goodwill Outlet


We know we know, we just mentioned Goodwill. But this Goodwill is a bit different. Instead of cruising aisles you’re digging through bins. It’s pay by the pound so you can grab as much or as little as you like to create any Halloween costume that you can imagine. You’ll probably take home more than you intended but its so cheap you won’t care.

If you’re planning a costume that needs some true vintage pieces you might as well head to Lucky. This shop has it all and if you choose wisely the pieces you pick for your costume might just become a permanent part of your wardrobe. You’ll find vintage sportswear, PNW flannels and wools and unique pieces from many decades.

Ah yes, the somewhat mysterious Halloween chain that seems to pop up in every empty strip mall in the US… Spirit Halloween is simply made for Halloween so you can’t go wrong with their pre packaged costumes, face paint and all that spooky goodness. You also might as well grab one of those hilarious howling ghoul decorations.

Champion Party Supply

A classic OG Seattle spot for party supplies, costume rentals and costumes in general, you can pretty much find it all at Champion. You’ll find wigs, costume makeup, costumes, decor and much more. Who knows what you’ll end up taking home.

Where:  1461 Elliott Avenue W
Hours: Monday-Friday 10 am-7 pm, Saturday 10 am-6 pm, Sunday 12 pm-6 pm
