Cheers to that: Calgary is holding a massive Caesar festival & it kicks off next week

The time has nearly come and we hope that you’re thirsty, friends! Next week, booze-lovers all over the city will be encouraged to stick a straw in one of the many spicy sips offered during the 2022 YYCaesarFest, a massive Calgary event dedicated to our city’s signature drink.

Created by Walter Chell In 1969, Canada’s tastiest unofficial hangover remedy is deeply rooted in Calgary’s history – so, it only makes sense that one of the largest caesar events be celebrated right here!

Invented for customers at the Calgary Inn, Walter’s drink has since become a favorite by folks coast to coast, transcending borders and appearing on menus around the world.

Between May 19th and the 20th, fans of the drink can hit the Stampede grounds where local bars and restaurants will be showcasing different variations of the boozy bevy under one roof and tickets are available now!

If by chance, you can’t make it, all Calgarians will still be able to sail the red sea during YYC Caesar Week, an additional event held by the same organization a day later.

While it won’t be held in a single location like the Festival, sippers will still be able to try out the various creations at participating restaurants and even vote for their favorites.
