Calgary’s sweetest drink festival returns next month & it’s going to be bigger than ever

One of the city’s tastiest events is only weeks away and if we can help it, no cup will go untilted! This February, YYC Hot Chocolate Fest will return to Calgary and here’s what we know so far.

While an entire list of this year’s participants has not yet been released, organizers of the event have confirmed to Curiocity that this year will be the biggest to date.

From Cafes and convenience stores to bars and bakeries, local spots all over the city have been challenged to create something truly unique – using milk (and milk alternatives), chocolate (and chocolate alternatives), whipped toppings, unusual flavours and of wild mixins like cookies or herbs.

In the past, we’ve seen everything from beer-infused cocoa to bacon-covered delights – and the best part?

It’s all in the name of charity! 

Just as it has in the past, a portion of the profits made during this particular festival will go towards Meals on Wheels –  a buy one, give one organization that supports families and children in need all over Calgary.
