There’s no denying it now — winter is coming and it’s coming sooner than normal for Ontario this year. Sunbathing season may be over, but you can still go for a swim or soak in an outdoor hot tub. All you have to do is browse the ones near you and reserve your spot.

Swimply, the app that lets you rent nearby pools by the hour in Toronto and the GTA, also has tons of listings for heated pools and hot tubs. The website allows you to filter your search to show only the ones with these amenities available.

Homeowners who list their pools on Swimply typically charge an extra fee for use of their hot tub, but some of them are included in the hourly price. This spot in Richmond Hill, for example, offers a heated pool kept at 28 C with a whirlpool hot tub for no extra charge.

Pool owners all over Toronto have registered their backyards on the app. It’s ideal for people looking to make a little extra cash to offset the costs of maintaining their own pool.

In fact, Swimply reports that top earners have made up to $87,000 in only 10 months. Can you imagine? When you register your pool, you get to set your hourly rate, then Swimply takes a 15% cut.

The app is available in cities all over the U.S. and became available in Canada 3 years ago. Using it is a lot like Airbnb — first, you find a pool that you like, request it for your preferred date and time, then wait for approval from the host. You won’t be charged until your reservation is confirmed.

You can click here to see all of the available heated pools and hot tubs around Toronto. And if that’s not enough, you can hit up all the spas with warm saltwater pools and healing baths around the city too.
