It looks like summer is coming early, Vancouver, and the weather is really heating up over the next couple of weeks. After a slow start to spring and a rainier-than-usual April, seeing 14 consecutive days of sun in the forecast almost feels like a fever dream. And we want to print it out, frame it, and keep it around forever!

The Weather Network’s 14-day forecast reveals a warm start to the week, with daytime temperatures ranging from 15 to 19 degrees. Starting Friday, the temps will jump to the low 20s, reaching a high of 27 degrees on Monday, May 15th.

Thankfully, things will cool down a bit over the days to follow, but there will still be plenty of sunshine to go around. So if you’re thinking to hit the beach or go on a hike in North Vancouver, now is a great time to do it.

And if you’re in Burnaby, you can expect even higher temperatures this coming week, with a forecasted high of 29 degrees on Sunday, May 14th and Monday, May 15th.

As for this week, Environment Canada forecasts “a mix of sun and clouds” and intermittent “fog patches” for Monday, May 8th and Tuesday, May 9th, echoing TWN’s timeline.

Other than that, Vancouver residents can expect full-on sunshine to prevail over the next two weeks. So pack away your rain gear for now, and instead break out the sunblock and start planning some picnics. The May long weekend is almost here, after all!

Enjoy the fair weather, Vancouver!
