The annual Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Restaurants has been revealed for 2024 and only two Canadian restaurants made it on the list. Of course one of these restaurants just so happens to be in Ontario. Let’s dive in, shall we?
The world’s largest travel guidance platform announced this year’s winners, highlighting the top restaurants across the world under a number of categories.
There are nine categories: fine dining, date night, casual dining, hidden gems, pet-friendly, vegan & vegetarian, quick bites, outdoor and sustainable.
Our lovely Canadian mentions can be found under “date night”. But before we reveal who and where they are, let’s look into how these restaurants are chosen.
Winners of the 2024 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Restaurant Awards are decided “based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over the 12-month period between June 1 2023 through May 31, 2024, as well as an additional editorial process,” shares organizers.
“Tripadvisor is proud to serve a broad and diverse community of travelers from all over the world. As such, Tripadvisor reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any property, business, destination or point of interest listed on Tripadvisor for an award based on additional factors that reflect Tripadvisor corporate policies and values.”
Now, let’s get right into our Canadian restos.
According to Trip Advisor, Niagara’s AG Inspired Cuisine is one of the best date night spots around.
The high-end restaurant located within Sterling Inn & Spa, came in 21st place. They are known for their fine dining experience, along with their à la carte and farm-inspired sharing menu.

“AG Inspired Cuisine has a contemporary atmosphere with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. The unique menu features fresh, farm-to-table ingredients with stunning presentations. Try the seasonal tasting menu paired with their curated wine list. The ambiance is both chic and romantic, perfect for casual gatherings or a special night out. Private rooms are available for larger groups. Don’t skip the delicious desserts!”
There’s always room for dessert!
This isn’t AG’s first rodeo either. It recently won OpenTable Diner’s Choice in 2024, the 2022 Travellers’ Choice Award, and according to Niagara Falls Tourism, it’s a recipient of 4 Diamonds by CAA/AAA, 10 Best Niagara Falls Restaurants by TripAdvisor and the Sustainability Award from Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence.

Vancouver’s Pluvio restaurant also made the list, adding another Canadian highlight to the annual awards.
