4 new hotels that are coming to Toronto & opening soon

Toronto never misses when it comes to world-class stays and experiences. That’s why so many world-renowned hotel brands are making their way to Toronto and jumping right into Canadian waters for the first time. We’ve seen a few hotels open up in 2022 but there are still more to come.

Some of these have been in development for quite some time and have even experienced delays. But it’s all in ensuring that every property is in tip-top shape for guests. From the most stunning bedroom layouts to exciting amenities and lounge spaces, Toronto is in for a treat.

Here are four of the new hotels that are coming to Toronto in the near future:

Nobu

The good news we’ve all been waiting for! The highly-anticipated Nobu Hotel and Residences will open in Toronto in 2023, including the celebrity-favourite Nobu restaurant. Nobu Hospitality has announced that the Toronto property will open in the fall of 2023, along with four other hotels around the world. It will occupy two sleek 45-storey towers in the heart of the entertainment district.

When: Fall 2023

Canopy by Hilton Hotel

The 184-room hotel is located at 387 Bloor St E., and will feature a modern café with retail goodies from local businesses on the main floor, a restaurant with views of Bloor St. and the Rosedale Valley, an indoor heated pool, yoga, fitness rooms, and more.

When: Accepting reservations starting February 7th, 2023

RIU Plaza

Canada’s first RIU Hotel is opening in Toronto and since its initial announcement, we’ve been waiting eagerly for its opening. According to the hotel group, the building is designed in a sophisticated avant-garde style, as a part of the Riu Plaza line, featuring 350 rooms, meeting rooms, a gym, a bar, and a restaurant. As for the upper floors, they will be for residential use.

Where: 30 Widmer Street

Curio by Hilton

The hotel will be 31 storeys tall and the first three floors will be preserved with the existing brick exterior of the building, which was originally built in 1890. It’ll have nearly 400 guest rooms, a rooftop bar, and a restaurant with a patio and sweeping views of the city.
