About time! The long-awaited Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville Hotel will soon open its doors in the city just before the year ends.
Canada’s first Canopy by Hilton Hotel now has an opening timeline after years of construction and waiting. The 184-room hotel is located at 387 Bloor St E., and will feature a modern café with retail goodies from local businesses on the main floor, a restaurant with views of Bloor St. and the Rosedale Valley, an indoor heated pool, yoga, fitness rooms, and more.
“We’re excited to bring Canada’s very first Canopy by Hilton Hotel to Toronto. The hotel with its premium location will bring a unique blend of luxury, convenience, and urban living, offering a new way for guests near and far to experience the city,” said Reetu Gupta, Chairwoman, and Ambassadress of The Gupta Group and Easton’s Group of Hotels.
As for the overall design of the hotel, led by Studio Munge, the interiors feature “curved edges and organic motifs,” according to the announcement.
“This will be complemented by an impressive local art collection, which illustrates the intricate connection between nature, people, and urbanism,” reads the release.
“As part of the experience, guest rooms will be called “Just-Right Rooms” because they provide intuitive comfort with a place for everything.”
The hotel takes over the second to ninth floors, while the remainder of the 55 floors will serve as residential units.
More information regarding its amenities and concepts will continue to be revealed in the coming months.
The hotel is expected to open in November 2022.
