Step aside, Fallsview. There’s a new casino hotel in town. Pickering Casino Resort Hotel is officially open and accepting reservations.
The hotel has 275 rooms and is part of the 96,000-square-foot casino resort, which opened in 2021.
The $500 million “premier entertainment destination” also has nine restaurants, a 2,500-seat theatre, and an event space.
“A short drive from downtown Toronto, the resort is a perfect destination for business and leisure,” says a press release from the new casino resort.

The casino is equipped with 2,200 slot machines, over 90 “live” table games, and around 140 “live dealer” stadium gaming terminals.
Sports fans can also visit the Great Canadian Sportsbook, a dedicated lounge for watching games, placing bets, and enjoying food and drinks.
The performance venue will host its first live event on January 28th. It will have many concerts, sports, and special events on its schedule throughout the year.
As for dining, visitors can choose from several restaurants that vary by cuisine — Sun Sui Wah refined Cantonese cuisine, CA·SU·AL gastropub, Rock House Grill all-day cafe, and ZIOs Italian.
An additional five restaurants will open at the resort this winter.
Those spending the night at the hotel will have access to a motion pool, a fitness club, and a 24-hour business center, all of which are set to open in the coming weeks.
Guests can also upgrade their stay to one of the 33 elegant and spacious suites, including a Corner King Suite and Executive Suite.
All of the rooms come with city and lake views, as well as free enclosed parking.
Flights from Toronto to Vegas may be pretty affordable right now, but nothing beats the convenience of a casino resort so close to home.
