It will have 658 luxury residential units and 36 hotel suites, as well as a Nobu restaurant on the ground floor.
The restaurant will reportedly open ahead of time, in July of 2023. The hotel and residences will open to the public in November.
“On the site of the historic Pilkington Glass Factory the Nobu Hotel Toronto will be positioned at the top of the west tower and offer guests panoramic views of the Toronto skyline,” said a representative of Nobu Hospitality in an email to Curiocity.
Guests will be greeted by the hotel’s historic façade on Mercer Street and will be immersed in “distinguished luxury” when they walk through the door.
Renderings of the project show spacious suites with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the CN Tower and waterfront.
Nobu is one of the most renowned hospitality brands in the world, founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro in 1994.
It looks like we won’t have to wait too much longer to experience the world-renowned cuisine and accommodations that A-listers have enjoyed since the 90s.
