Toronto’s boozy hot chocolate festival with s’mores & DJs starts tonight

A celebration of all things chocolatey and sweet kicks off today in Toronto. A 10-day Hot Chocolate Festival is taking over Stackt Market with an epic lineup of events, performers, and of course, delicious drinks. Plus, it’s completely free to attend!

The festival will have endless chocolate pop-ups for you to check out, plus musical performances, s’mores kits, drink specials, workshops, and Valentine’s programs to keep things warm and spicy during this frosty time of year.

Tonight’s kickoff event begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m., with live music and DJs on the Bailey’s patio. S’mores kits will be available for purchase for $19.95 each that you can take straight to the fire pits while sipping on your hot chocolate.

If you’re lucky, you might even snag one of the 30 free s’mores kits that will be given away tonight.

DJ MAJESTY will be spinning at the Belgian Moon Brewery until 11 p.m. and Belgian Moon beers on draught are just $5. As for cocktails, you’ll be able to try three different takes on a spiked hot chocolate — Orange, Bailey’s Cookies & Cream, and Smokey Poblano.

Entry to tonight’s event is free but visitors are asked to register in advance for capacity purposes.

Other events throughout the festival include Drag Brunch on Saturday, a Valentine’s pop-art painting night, a Super Bowl party at the Belgian Moon Brewery, Valentine’s Day tote bag making and hot chocolate mug painting, and more.

We may be in the grip of our coldest season, but we’re willing to bet that you’ll hardly notice the chill with a boozy hot cocoa in your hand.

Hot Chocolate Festival

Where: Stackt Market, 28 Bathurst St
