It wouldn’t be the end of 2020 without one final bizarre legal violation in the city. Today, it’s the driver who was stopped with a less-than-normal licence plate situation on their car. TPS Traffic Services tweeted about the situation this afternoon, and it’s certainly an interesting one.
So apparently, the driver was stopped by a Traffic Services officer who quickly noticed a detail that was off with the car’s licence plate. The year had been handwritten on the validation sticker. After that, it wasn’t long before they realized the car also had mismatched plates between the front and back of the vehicle. Oof.
A @TrafficServices officer stopped a vehicle and quickly noticed the hand written year on the validation sticker. He then noticed the front plate was a different number. Neither plate was registered to the vehicle being driven.

Aside from demonstrating, once again, how effective sharpies are this incident reminds us of all the weird and wild happenings this year has brought us. TPS Traffic Services also tweeted that these details, although small, are often indicators of stolen vehicles or other illegal activities. Gotta stay vigilant, right?
So there you have it! No one was hurt during the whole ordeal, which is always nice. The driver in question was charged for the violations.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
