This stunning new commercial for Alberta’s film industry will take your breath away

From talent to the mountains, our Badlands, and soundstages, Canada’s wild rose province has much to offer the film industry and it’s high time that the masses begin to recognize all of it!. Agree? Well, then stretch those fingers, folks – because Travel Alberta has just created something that we think is definitely worth sharing on every platform.

Featuring iconic scenes from Brokeback Mountain, Inception, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife among a TON of others, TA’s new 3-minute advertisement for our stunning locations and state-of-the-art facilities is nothing short of freaking breathtaking.

From its goosebumpin’ narration to the ‘timed-just-right’ clips and award-winning cinematography, the folks responsible for putting together the video honestly didn’t have to go as hard as they did – but man, does it tell a story – a convincing one, at that.

Now, that’s not to say we’ve had much trouble turning a few heads prior to this release.

Though we’ve definitely got to make a few more believers out there, Alberta has still managed to attract a whole lot of buzz.

In addition to the films listed above – major projects like Guilty Party and The Last Of Us have all contributed to over 9,000 jobs and nearly 1 billion in revenue which is absolutely bananas in all of the tastiest ways.

“Alberta is the new Hollywood. With our stunning landscapes, our immense talent and our world-class studios, our province is being showcased on the big screen in a way that it never has before, with thousands of jobs being created in everything from carpentry to catering,” said Doug Schweitzer, Minister of Jobs, Economy and Innovation in a recent press release.

Not sure what all the hype is about? Check out the video made by Travel Alberta for yourself and fall in love with Alberta all over again.

We are a couple of lucky folks, folks. We get to call this place home!
