This is an offer you simply can’t refuse! Aunty Lucy’s, one of Toronto’s favourite burger joints, is introducing a never-before-tasted creation to its menu and in celebration of the launch, the restaurant is giving them out for free all weekend long. These burgers feature a secret ingredient, so you already know it’s going to be absolutely delicious.
Starting on Saturday, September 4th, Aunty Lucy’s food truck will be stationed at Trailhead Place giving out their brand new burger from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., or while quantities last. The freebies will be up for grabs through Labour Day, so you’ve got plenty of time to make your way down and get it.
This spot opened up at The Annex Hotel back in 2020 and has all kinds of mouthwatering eats on the menu, including fried chicken sandwiches, Beyond burgers, grilled cheese, and massive combos you’ll want for your next picnic. Aunty Lucy’s even serves Kelewele, or Ghanian fried plantains, sold in 5 slices with roasted garlic seasoning.

The menu items range in price from $5 for a grilled cheese to $12 for a fried chicken plate or sandwich. The 3 burgers on the menu are between $8 and $11. If you like a little extra spice, you can get your meal with a side of Shito, or Ghanian hot black pepper sauce.
This isn’t the only opportunity you’ll have to get your hands on one-of-a-kind burger creations in Toronto. Canada’s biggest burger festival is about to begin in the city, and you’ll have the chance to taste dozens of creations and vote on which one deserves the title of best in the city.
