This iconic French bakery is almost ready to open in Vancouver

Over a year after making their presence known in the city, the iconic French bakery Paul looks like it’s finally getting ready to open its doors. Not only is this location the first in Vancouver, it’s also the first in all of Canada. Here’s a little more info.

Paul was originally started way back in 1889 in the town of Croix, France. Over the years, the brand continued to grow. Now, Paul has bakeries in some 30-odd countries around the world. And weirdly, Canada has never been one of them.

Until now, that is. The move kind of makes sense- these days, the bakery is part of the same company as Ladurée, which has proven to be a hit in Vancouver. So, we have a feeling they want to see what Paul’s more general menu can do.

That said, there’s some real competition in this city. We look forward to seeing how they stack up against our local favourites.

When: Slated to open in Spring, 2021
Where: 1164 Robson Street
