Every August during Alberta Local Food Week, Alberta on the Plate hosts a ten-day, province-wide dine around festival. And those ten days have arrived! During Alberta on the plate, participating restaurants in the city offer multi-course, fixed-price menus highlighting local producers, growers, distillers and brewers. Be sure to check out local spots over the weekend!

According to organizers, Headliners NOFX will be performing forty songs, including full albums and rarities at all shows during their last tour, plus they will never repeat a setlist to ensure that each show is unique! Augtoberfest is the first ever craft beer festival to take place in Stony Plain, AB, and it is hosted and organized by West Parkland Gas Co-op. All proceeds from the festival are being donated to TriCALA. Spend an afternoon or evening sampling quality craft beers by breweries from across Alberta. And there will be food trucks!

Check out “Country Day” as the Edmonton Elks kick-off against the BC Lions on August 11. There will be a tailgate area that opens three hours before kick-off in Lot B. You can expect face painting, bouncy castles, and more fun for families in the Commonwealth Community Fieldhouse starting 90-minutes before kick-off.
