Another Halloween weekend has come to a close and now all that’s left to do is rate all of the costume photos on our Instagram feeds. After last year’s disappointing spooky season, it seems that everyone was excited to get suited up and make the most of Halloween this year, celebrities included.

Canada’s favourite A-listers stepped out in some pretty creative getups this year, and here’s a roundup of the best and most hilarious ones.

As we’ve come to expect from The Weeknd and his mysterious disguises, he definitely didn’t disappoint this year. The artist dressed up as Don Corleone on Sunday and the resemblance was honestly uncanny.

Justin Bieber was looking beary cozy in his fuzzy onesie, which he accessorized with chains and sneakers. Honourary Canadian Hailey Bieber opted for a more subtle costume, stepping out in an all-black ensemble with a black wig and cat ears.

Hailey also paid homage to Britney Spears with her Halloween costumes this year, posting a series of photos of herself dressed up in the singer’s most iconic early looks.

Ontario’s other pop sensation Shawn Mendes showed off his adorable couples costume with Camila Cabello. The two dressed as dancing skeletons in celebration of Día de los Muertos, or The Day of the Dead.

Toronto-raised actress Nina Dobrev dressed as a Queen’s Gambit character this Halloween with a hilarious twist. Dobrev’s boyfriend Shaun White took the role of Beth Harmon, while Dobrev rocked a leather jacket and mustache as Harmon’s sidekick, Benny Watts.

Mississauga’s Shay Mitchell posted an Instagram story of the Halloween decorations in front of her house and they’re nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Rexdale’s very own Dalano Banton looked like a Toronto man ready for winter at Pascal Siakam’s Halloween party. The teammates got pretty creative with their costumes this year, especially Siakam himself, who dressed as McLovin’ from Superbad — Seth Rogen shared Siakam’s ensemble on his Instagram story to confirm his approval.
