We know it’s hard to keep up with local news and there is a good chance a lot of you might have even stopped watching the news. But with that in mind, we thought we’d bring up an important environmental change that the state is making. And that is Washington State’s new plastic bag ban.

Like everything else this year, the Washington plastic bag ban has actually been postponed. It was slated to kick in starting in January of 2021, but it looks like it could be delayed as long as until the summer. Supply chain issues and the fact that there won’t be enough paper or reusable bags to go around in time for the ban are the main reasons for the delay.

Basically, once the restriction comes into place, plastic bags will be banned everywhere that you can get them. So while they’re still out there, we recommend investing in some reusable bags you really like.
