It won’t be long now, Naughty Dog enthusiasts. HBO’s Alberta-shot series The Last Of Us is set to premiere next month and with an entire fandom on the edge of their seats, the network has finally released its first full trailer for the highly-anticipated show.
Starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones), the upcoming drama will follow Joel, a smuggler who is tasked with escorting a young girl across post-apocalyptic America which has been plagued by baddies and “the infected.”

Filmed over the course of a year, The Last Of Us is a live adaption of an extremely popular video game and is projected to be the most expensive TV show ever made.
While we’ve seen plenty of set photos and clips of the program, HBO’s newest trailer is by the far the most exciting – especially for those who live in and around the prairie province.
Featuring several notable locations such as Edmonton’s downtown area, the Engine Bridge in Canmore, the Rocky Mountains, as well as Northland Mall and 6th Avenue in Calgary (just to name a few), Alberta’s diverse landscapes and largest cities are eerie but recognizable in the 2:24 video.
Of course, when The Last Of Us finally hits the small screen on January 15th, 2023, viewers can also look forward to seeing the 4th Avenue Flyover Bridge, Mount Royal University and SAIT in Calgary, High River, Okotoks and the Alberta Legislature Building in Edmonton.

We honestly haven’t been this excited since they released Game of Thrones season 8 and we’re willing to be this will be significantly less disappointing.
