You know what’s cheaper than going to New York? Going to New York’s famous Hudson Hotel, but in Toronto. If you close your eyes and focus on the street noise, you can almost imagine you’re there!

Really though, this has been the year of hotel news. Ace Hotels coming to Toronto, the Thompson closing down, and new Drake and June Motel spots. We’re feeling pretty inspired to take a staycation. Our bank account is less inspired, but we’ll convince it.

Now, a 75,000 square foot expansion of the Hudson is on the map thanks to sbe. Not a typo, that’s the company name. Hudson Toronto will be right in the heart of King West, right near St. Andrew’s Park.

It’s expected to be architecturally incredible, and we hear there are a rooftop bar and resto in the blueprint. Additionally, the 146 rooms will be complemented by a three-meal signature restaurant and a huge bar and cafe.

The Hudson Hotel Toronto won’t have any residential real estate, so you won’t be shacking up there long-term. Sorry. Keep an eye out for the hotel come 2024!
