This Toronto neighbourhood is getting a massive three-day open-air street food market

Get ready to enjoy delicious eats, refreshing drinks, entertainment, and more at this massive open-air street food market coming to Toronto this weekend. Taste of North York is welcoming all to enjoy three days of community fun and here’s what to know.

From September 8 to 10, Mel Lastman Square will host a three-day street fest where vendors will serve hundreds of menu items to enjoy from over 40 vendors. The inaugural Taste of North York Food & Drink Festival is hosted by NeighbourLink North York in partnership with Street Eats Market.

And if you’ve ever been to a Street Eats Market event, then you definitely know what to expect.

According to organizers, there will be a seating area where over 800 attendees can get to know each other while breaking bread together. On Saturday there will be community meal times at 2 PM, 6 PM and 9 PM.

One fun feature of the event is Meet & Eat where 25 local organizations will have info tables and activities for the community to engage with on Saturday. On all three days, there will be a patio at the Meet & Eat where everyone is encouraged to make friends and connect.

As for entertainment, you’ll find a stage on the upper deck with performances from TU Jazz Fest musicians and from TO Live, Star Dance Centre, and more on the mainstage. Star Dance Centre will also lead attendees through a dance workshop. How fun!

Taste of North York is free to attend so make sure to mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss out.
