Ready for some serious patio sips, Vancouver? Superflux Beer Company just unveiled its highly-anticipated 67-seat patio, made possible by the City of Vancouver’s recent bylaw change allowing expanded patio areas.

Situated in the heart of ‘Yeast Van,’ the new 780-square-foot covered patio will offer guests the perfect spot to enjoy some cold craft brews as the weather heats up.

“We’re so excited to finally offer a permanent patio for guests to park themselves all summer long and enjoy cold beers with us,” says Adam Henderson, co-founder and president of Superflux Beer Company. “When we first got our hands on this building, we didn’t even think about having a patio because the bylaws didn’t allow it but during COVID, temporary and permanent patios got another chance,” Adam explains.

The LCRB’s Temporary Expanded Service Area (TESA) program allows breweries and restaurants to create temporary and permanent patios to space out their guests – originally during the pandemic. Now, Superflux’s new patio will pave the way for more upcoming events this spring and summer, including their newly-established Monday Industry Nights and Tequila Tuesdays.

During Industry Nights, guests can enjoy $5 beers and snacks from 5 pm to close. On Tuesdays, guests can look forward to half-priced margs and nachos all day long.

According to a release, Superflux visitors can also look forward to Simon’s boozy soft serve, which is making a return to the brewery’s tasting room with new flavours in the lineup for this summer.

The new patio will be open daily from open to close, starting Tuesday, May 9th. In addition to group-friendly picnic tables, the area will also come equipped with propane heaters for the evenings and chillier days.

Superflux is open from noon until 9 pm from Sunday to Tuesday, until 10 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
