This American low-cost airline is launching flights out of Toronto

Attention, passengers! Toronto travellers will soon have more options for affordable flights out of the city as Sun Country Airlines expands its network.

The American low-cost airline has announced that it will be launching non-stop flights to Montreal’s Trudeau International Airport as well as Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

Specifically, the airline will be flying to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport because it is based in the state of Minnesota.

These flights are part of Sun Country Airlines’ big expansion plans in 2024, which also includes service to several U.S. cities, said the airline in a press release.

It’s known for “providing safe, reliable, hassle-free flights at affordable prices.”

In addition to Toronto and Montreal, the new schedule will include flights to:

  • Albuquerque International Sunport, New Mexico
  • Billings Logan International Airport, Montana
  • Boise Airport, Idaho
  • Dulles International Airport, Virginia/Washington, D.C.
  • Gerald R. Ford International Airport, Grand Rapids, Michigan
  • Missoula Montana Airport, Montana
  • Oakland International Airport, California
  • Syracuse Hancock International Airport, New York

Service to these new destinations will generally be twice weekly, says the airline.

With this new announcement, Sun Country Airlines will serve 104 airports in the United States, Mexico, Central America, Canada, and the Caribbean.

This is an exciting time for new flights out of Toronto.

Just this week, Lynx Air announced that it will be launching low-cost flights from our city to Cancun, Mexico this winter.

The Canadian airline is having a 25% off sale on all of its sunny destinations, and the sale ends at 11:59 PM on October 26th.

So start making those travel plans because pretty soon, you’ll be jet-setting and saving money while you’re at it.
