We have to say, Seattle has been ranking high in all sorts of new studies. This time, the emerald city is being recognized as one of the best cities for single dads. Honestly, it’s not the first thing we’d think that Seattle would be recognized for but hey, LawnStarter has some data for us.

The new study from LawnStarter ranked 200 major US cities based on 34 different factors around single-dad-friendliness. Some of those metrics included things like child care, housing affordability, uninsured rates, and dad support groups. With all that in mind, Seattle is sitting pretty at number 6 on the list.

Now while we feel pretty dang good about our ranking we clearly have our work cut out for us. If you take a peek at the visual above you’ll see that we’re beaten by not 1 but 3 Oregon cities. But hey, there always has to be some sort of PNW rivalry right? Maybe we’ll let this one slide for a bit.

If you happen to be a single dad in the 206 give yourself a pat on the back. And if you know one, send this over to him, might just make his day. If you’d like to learn more about the rankings you can click here.
