Well folks, you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay there… Following damage sustained due to high winds on Wednesday, the Red Lot viewing parties have been cancelled for both Friday and Sunday. At the very least, you won’t get FOMO about missing out on the free tickets.

The Flames first made the tough decision to cancel the Red Lot party on Wednesday, as winds up to 75km/h swept through Calgary. Thanks to damage sustained that day, and with inclement weather in the forecast, the massive outdoor viewing party has been called off throughout the weekend.

However, it’s not all bad news, as the Flames will instead be opening the Saddledome for Game 3 against the Oilers on Sunday. And luckily, those (free) tickets will not be made available on 9AM on Saturday, so you’ve got time to figure out your plans for this weekend.

As for tonight? Well, we’ve got more than a few other options you should check out. And of course, we’ll be sharing all the details about what to expect on the Red Mile later on today as well. Let’s go Flames!
