Located within Ferris Provincial Park, the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge is an ideal destination if you’re looking for an easy hike and picturesque views.

The bridge hovers 30′ above the Ranney Gorge just south of the falls in the park.

One of the coolest parts of making your way across the 300-foot-long bridge is that you will feel it sway slightly below your feet!

According to the Ranny Gorge Suspension Bridge, the idea of a suspension bridge spanning the gorge came as “a way to improve viability and enhance Ferris Park.”

It took around two years from start to finish, with the ground for the project taking off on September 3, 2002, and the grand opening on June 23, 2004.

If you want to check out the bridge you’ll need to book a day pass through Ontario Parks and can do so here.

Add the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge to your Ontario travel bucket list and don’t forget to snap some pics while you’re there!
