A new luxurious, “distinct lifestyle” boutique hotel with residences is opening in Toronto this year. The first of four boutique TOOR Hotel Collection properties will feature over 200 guest rooms, a French-inspired bistro, a fitness centre and more.

The latest hotel concept will make its mark in the city’s east end, right on Jarvis Street, just steps away from the future Moss Park subway station.

“As Toronto continues to grow, this prime location makes it a perfect retreat for travellers. The TOOR Hotel epitomizes the essence of a true urban lifestyle hotel, bringing a new offering to Toronto,” said TOOR Hotel President and CEO, Sukhdev Toor.

Here’s a breakdown as to what you can expect from the newest TOOR Hotel:

Hotel Rooms & design

There will be 232 guest rooms and suites, including 181 premium residential rental units.

The premium rental units will take over the top 15 floors of the building.

As for the design, each room is inspired by Toronto’s parks and green spaces

Guest rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, 55” televisions and Nespresso machines.

“We wanted this property to really celebrate the vibrant heart of the city, in a space that was unlike any other. We drew inspiration by incorporating elements from the city grid forms and Victorian architecture like arches and round towers, reflecting themes of geometry, connectivity, and interlaced layers,” said Matt Davis, Founding Partner of DesignAgency, who is behind this design project.

According to the hotel, it towers 33 stories and will offer guests and residents “unobstructed views of Toronto and Lake Ontario.”

Muse Bistro + Bar

Indulge in the modern French-inspired bistro and bar set over two floors. It’s described as a “sophisticated dining hub with European-designed interiors and modern French-inspired cuisine.”

The two-story restaurant spans over 2,500 square feet and features a ground floor with space for meetings, working and for quick grabs.

You’ll find the dining space on the upper floor for a more refined restaurant experience.

Amenities

Those staying at the hotel and within its residences can enjoy a 1,500-square-foot fitness centre and yoga studio, a 3,000-square-foot terrace, and extra 1,100 square feet of meeting and event space.

When can we see it in person?

According to TOOR Hotel and Residences, it will open its first of four Toronto locations this year with occupancy beginning early summer 2024.

We can’t wait to see it in all its glory!
