Need the latest and greatest in the unhinged Seattle real estate market? Well lucky you, we have it. As you might remember, a parking spot in Capitol Hill went on the market for more than what many make in a year this February. Guess what? It just sold for over asking.

According to the listing, the $50k parking spot was a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase a parking space in The Marq Condominium.” The listing also mentioned amenities like being located in a secure garage, 24/7 access, and a location that is steps from “everything the city has to offer.” The parking spot was also called a “great investment for additional city parking.”

While paying big money for parking spots isn’t that out of the ordinary in major urban centers, it’s on the newer side for Seattle. An issue that likely goes in hand with parking shortages, tech salaries, and people’s love for convenience. That being said, this spot was so wanted by someone that they paid $6k over asking, bringing the sale total to $56k.
