If there’s anything that Calgary needs more of, it’s Mexican-style restaurants. If you’re among those that agree, we hope that you’ve got readily available stretchy pants, because Tu Taco, a brand new authentic taqueria will be hitting Kensington by summers-end.
Serving what they call ‘bold and flavourful’ street food, this colourful new eatery is actually inspired by the food that owner, Marcela grew up with.
From burritos and tostadas and of course, tacos, family recipes passed down through generations will be shared and more than likely enjoyed by any and all guests that pop by for a bite.

In addition to more ‘classic’ eats, they’ll also serve a variety of different cocktails and churro ice cream cones – which judging by what they’ve posted to their Instagram story, will be super tasty… and incredibly sticky. You win some, you lose some.
Sadly, they have yet to announce an opening date publically but it should only be a matter of time.
