Get into the festive spirit at the Holiday Light Up event in downtown Edmonton

There’s no question that the holidays are the most magical time of year, but now we have even more reason to celebrate the season thanks to the Holiday Light Up event coming to downtown Edmonton on Saturday, December 3.

The perfect event for families, or for that cute date night you’ve been looking for, you and everyone you know can get into the festive spirit while admiring the light displays, shopping the Christmas market, or simply cozying up with a warm bevvie and maple taffy in front of a crackling fire.

This year’s theme will also explore the North, featuring an insta-worthy life-sized illuminated polar bear, LED-lit iceberg and a festive 10-metre wide light wall. You can also harness your inner DIY spirit with lantern-making workshops, while taking time to experience Indigenous performances, art installations, giveaways, games and more. And yes, parking is absolutely free at Edmonton City Centre East Parkade from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
