Let’s face it, board games and brews are the ultimate rainy-day activity in Vancouver. And if you still have a Storm Crow-shaped hole in your heart from where the iconic bar used to be, we’ve got several amazing alternatives to toss your way. Without further ado, here are 5 cafes and bars with board games to check out in Vancouver this season.
We’ll start with the newest, and arguably the most interesting name on this list. The queer-owned & operated cafe has a ton of unique games to choose from, including a battle game between woodland creatures. The vibe is inspired by ’80s & ’90s nostalgia, “with a touch of quirkiness and psychedelia,” according to an Instagram post. And to make hanging out with your friends even easier, they’re staying open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
