This small town in Ontario with sandy beaches has a new waterfront park

Give me a nice park and a sandy beach and I’m all set! Found in the beautiful Niagara region, Grimsby has everything you need to enjoy a day away from city life. You’ll want to make a trip this summer as the town also has a stunning brand-new waterfront park!

According to the town, “Casablanca Waterfront Park is located along the scenic Lake Ontario, this park is a testament to the Town’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents in Grimsby.”

The park is vast and includes:

  • Walking and biking trails along Lake Ontario
  • A new playground
  • Picnic area
  • Multiple beachfront
  • Multi-use pathways and pavilions
  • An outdoor area and pavilion for all ages

Phase one is complete with phase two planned to add a new washroom pavilion, enhanced playground spaces, flexible event areas, and improved waterfront access.

Another popular sandy beachfront in Grimsby, Ontario is Nelles Beach Park. This spot has a large playground, a beach volleyball court, and a lot of open green space with shade. Parking is available onsite as well!

Get your steps in at Forty Mile Creek Park while you’re in the area.

The lakefront area is “a great place to fish, bird watch, or walk along the 40 Mile Creek. Home to the historic Pumphouse, a concrete patio with picnic tables overlooking the water, and the 1812 Bicentennial Peace Garden and Gazebo.”

Grimsby is a must-visit in the summertime so don’t miss out on all its beauty, Ontario!
