Pancakes to pizza: This one day Toronto food festival is all gluten-free

Toronto’s beloved gluten-free food festival, Gluten Free Garage, is gearing up for its 11th annual edition, set to take place this May.

On May 26th, from 10 AM to 4 PM, ArtHubs Wychwood Barns will host over 70 vendors hailing from across Ontario and beyond. This one-day foodie adventure promises a tantalizing journey into the world of gluten-free cuisine.

As May marks Celiac Awareness Month, Gluten Free Garage has become an important event in Toronto’s culinary landscape and within the gluten-free community.

The annual event draws in more than 3,000 people who love all things gluten-free. According to organizers, the booths are filled with delicious gluten-free offerings like freshly baked goods, frozen treats, and made-to-order dishes.

“We have such diverse and delicious offerings this year!” said RonniLyn Pustil, founder of Gluten Free Garage.

“We’re excited to welcome back vendors who have been with us since our first pop-up market and to introduce a variety of new products and vendors, including artisan bakeries, restaurants, breweries and more.”

Last year’s event saw delicious offerings like tacos, pop-tarts, dumplings and spring rolls – all of course, gluten-free.

To accommodate the festival’s ever-expanding audience, there will be a timed-entry ticketing system, specifically for entry to the indoor vendors.

Tickets can be purchased online for $15 online or at the door on the day of the event – subject to availability.

Children aged 12 and under enjoy complimentary entry, while advance ticket holders receive a coveted GFG tote bag to carry their gluten-free treats.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable gluten-free food donation to their food drive.

“This year’s food drive is being run by Celiac Canada with proceeds going to local food bank The Beeton Cupboard for clients who require a gluten-free diet,” shares organizers.

You don’t want to miss out on this delicious event!
