A hidden gem: This magical grotto is tucked away in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains

From the Rockies to the Badlands, there is no place quite like Wild Rose Country… but Alberta is so much more than meets the eye!

Above and below the surface there are some incredible experiences to be had, but what exactly can you enjoy underground?

Inspired by Alberta’s Cave and Basin historical site, The Fox Hotel and Suites has an enchanting hot pool inspired by a legendary spot in the area.

Widely considered the birthplace of Canada’s National Park system, The Cave and Basin is a stunning grotto with a rich history and a whole lot of ambiance.

Known and beloved by Indigenous Peoples for over 10 thousand years, the Cave and Basin is now an incredible place where people gather to share stories about conservation and the connection.

Unfortunately, while the water in this natural cave system is hot and beautiful as can be, the public is unable to take a dip in the thermal springs.

Luckily, the Fox Hotel allows guests to fulfil their dream of jumping into the blue lagoon.

Here you can actually go for a swim, lounge on the rocks and wind all the way down as they’ve perfectly recreated the oasis.

In addition, the hotel also has a sauna, a fitness room, and is pet-friendly – so get making your reservations;.

Interested in checking in? Hit their website, pack your bags and head out.

You’re truly in for a treat.
