Think you could crack a murder case? Calgary has a new experience coming to the city that puts you in the jury box and leaves the final verdict up to you. The Jury Experience is an immersive courtroom where you’ll hear testimony, weigh the evidence, and decide whether the accused is guilty or not guilty.
The experience will be taking place on multiple dates this fall and winter, giving you a few chances to put your judgment to the test.
Let’s take a look at what the case is about, when you can experience the trial in Calgary, and how to get tickets.
The Jury Experience is an interactive theatre production where the audience serves as jurors in a fictional courtroom trial.
The Calgary production is called The Deadly Boat Ride, and the case centres on a fatal speedboat accident involving the son of a powerful politician.
Throughout the show, actors present the case from different perspectives, which will help give you a closer look at the events leading up to the accident. You’ll then have to consider the evidence presented to you and decide which side made the stronger case.
The experience is recommended for ages 12 and up, and anyone under 16 must attend with an adult.
The Jury Experience is coming to Calgary on Friday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Dec. 4, 2026, with another performance scheduled for Jan. 9, 2027. Two shows will run each night, with performances at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The performance lasts approximately 60 minutes. Doors open 30 minutes before the show, and late entry isn’t permitted once the performance begins, so plan to arrive early.
Tickets to The Jury Experience start at $54, with prices varying depending on the seating section you choose and the date you attend. You can book tickets through the official Fever website, where you can select your preferred date and seating section.
So if you want to weigh in on the case and decide what happened out on the water, head down to The GRAND and take your seat in the jury box.
