If you have big dreams of being on the small screen, start the clock, because your 15 minutes of fame could finally be here!

Netflix is currently casting for a new Alberta-shot TV series and almost anyone can audition – but you’ll have to act fast!

Directed by Stephen Surjik (The Umbrella Academy, The Witcher), The Abandons will star Gillian Anderson (The Crown) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as the adoptive mother of four young orphans.

Set in 1850s Oregon, the show will tell the story of a group of diverse families who find themselves in a deadly clash for the right to their land in which the “line between survival and the law becomes increasingly blurry,” according to the streaming service.

Sound riveting? Imagine being behind the scenes!

This spring Netflix will be casting those in Alberta between the ages of 8 and 80 years old, as long as they’re available between May 14th and October 17th, 2024.

“Looking for men, women, & children,” Keep Alberta Rolling wrote on social media.

“Open to all Ethnicities Caucasian, First Nations, Black, Asian & Hispanic” who are authentic looking with unique character faces and are “blacksmiths, rancher types, labourer types, butchers, upscale affluent looks & amputees.”
