Pasta lovers, this is not a drill. Eataly Toronto has launched a new “Gnocchi Thursdays” menu and it’s a cheesy feast like no other.

Both gnocchi dishes on the menu are served tableside straight out of a delicious parmesan wheel!

The first dish, called the Gnocchi Cacio e Pepe, is served out of a Pecorino Romano DOP wheel. The house-made potato dumplings are coated in cheese and topped with black pepper.

“As the cradle of the Roman Empire, Lazio is a region rich with ancient traditions. Among the oldest is tending sheep and making pecorino (sheep’s milk cheese),” says the description of the dish.

The second dish is called Gnocchi Ai Funghi Porcini Con Fonduta — what a delicious mouthful. The gnocchi is served from an Parmigiano Reggiano DOP wheel that has been aged for 18 months, and is “in a category of its own,” according to the description.

“Its signature sharp and complex savouriness is balanced out by fruity and nutty notes,” it says.

If cheese-wheel pasta sounds like your idea of heaven, this Mississauga spot will serve you a fresh plate of pasta made in a flaming parm wheel. We’re drooling already.

The Gnocchi Thursdays menu is available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Eataly’s dine-in restaurant La Pizza e La Pasta. Thursdays only, of course!

Buon appetito!
