From The Last of Us to The Abandons, Wild Rose Country has played a huge role in some major projects over the last few years.

Whether they’re working on a feature or mini-series, industry titans just keep coming back – this time, with a face instantly recognizable to anyone who has watched The Hunger Games, American Hustle, or Don’t Look Up.

According to the Directors Guild Of Canada, Die, My Love, a new Horror Dramedy starring Jennifer Lawrence, will be the next big flick to roll into Alberta.

Based on the Ariana Harwicz novel of the same name, the upcoming movie will follow a widowed mother struggling to “maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis.”

The book, originally written in Spanish, was a Man Booker International Prize Finalist in 2018 and has now been adapted for the big screen.

Excited for the lights, cameras, and all of the action?

Die, My Love will be co-written and directed by Lynne Ramsay, who is best known for We Need To Talk About Kevin, and You Were Never Really Here – a thriller led by Joaquin Phoenix.

Pre-production has already begun with filming to take place between August, 12th and October 8th, 2024, so keep your eyes open, Alberta.

You never know what or who you’ll see in and around Calgary or Edmonton.
