Production for ‘The Last of Us’ season two is now underway in Vancouver, but the cast and crew just can’t get enough of Wild Rose Country.

Originally shot in Calgary, Edmonton and their surrounding areas, the beloved video game adaption premiered last year delighting all Albertans with a CraveTV subscription.

Starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game Of Thrones), the show follows Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a young girl across post-apocalyptic America.

Surprisingly, while the zombie-like ‘clickers,’ cold-hearted thieves and cannibals had us on the edge of our seats – we cried more often than not but it became an Alberta favourite.

Luckily for us, the feelings are mutual!

Repping Blasty swag, Luna, who plays Tommy Miller in the show, hit the Scotiabank Saddledome and despite a 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals, proudly shared some news with fans and later, those on social media.

According to the star, they’re back … but only for a limited time.

“We’re shooting season two of The Last Of Us and the beauty of this land is hard to replicate,” he said.

“We had to come back to Alberta so we’re here for 10 days and I couldn’t miss going to a Flames game.”

It’s unclear who from the cast has hightailed it back to Cowtown or where they’re currently filming, but we would recommend keeping your eyes wide, Calgary!

It won’t be long until they head back west, but a lot can happen in just under two weeks and if we know anything about production – they’re certainly not shy.

Welcome back TLOU! We’re so happy to host you once again, and can’t wait to see what you do next.
