Sundays are for paella: This tapas spot in Mount Pleasant is bringing back paella all summer long

It’s a beautiful morning, Vancouver – and we’ve got some exciting (& tasty) news to go with it. There are a ton of food and drink fests coming our way this summer, and we have another one to add to the mix. Beginning this Sunday, June 12th, Como? Taperia is bringing back their popular summer paella event. AKA- authentic Spanish paella made by the Paella Guys, served on Como’s gorgeous patio along with select tapas and drinks.

For those who don’t know, paella is a traditional rice dish with its roots in Valencia, along the Meditteranean coast of Spain. Named after the wide, shallow pan it’s cooked on, the dish typically includes meat, seafood, veggies, and sometimes beans.

So, when the Paella Guys are preparing your meal over an open fire – just know you’re in for a real taste of Spain!

Once you have a seat on the patio (or indoors if it’s rainy), you can watch as the Paella Guys start cooking outside. Drinks and tapas are available a la carte for your grazing pleasure, before the main show. The Como kitchen and bar will be fully open to take any spontaneous orders your heart and stomach desire.

Vermut-cooked clams, tuna-shrimp ceviche, and anchovy, olive, and pepper skewers are just some of the tasty bites you’ll have the option of ordering.

Tickets are sold by the table for groups of two, three, or four – which comes to $25 per person, plus tax and 20% gratuity. The price includes one plate of paella per person.

If you’re planning to come with a larger group or would like to request a spot on the patio, be sure to email info@comotaperia.com prior to your visit. You can view the other dates available for booking this summer here.
