Seattle is full of amazing parks with all sorts of different amenities. While there are so many places to choose from, it’s likely that we’re all a bit set in our ways. So why not check out a park you’ve probably heard of but may have not been to before? Somewhere like Carkeek Park.
Carkeek Park is located in north Seattle, just a bit further north than the extremely popular Golden Gardens Park. You’ll be able to enjoy sweeping views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains with fewer people around. If you need more than just the view, there are over 220 acres of land to explore.

In the park, you’ll also find lush forests, meadows, wetlands, creeks, a historic orchard, and of course the beach. You can walk, run, or even try your hand at beach combing. Plus, you get to enjoy the experience of walking over a railroad bridge on the way down to the beach.
The park is free to visit and open daily so all you have to do to visit is hop in your car or on the bus.
