Welcome to the end of the weekend, Edmonton! With any luck, this last round of chilly weather was winter’s kiss goodbye. We’re hoping to make the most of the start of spring, anyway, and we’ve got some ideas about how to do it!

Here are the 10 best things to do in Edmonton this week.

DOWNTOWN DINING WEEK

There are a whopping 60 restaurants joining in on the fun, ranging from high energy bars (CRAFT, Rocky Mountain Icehouse) to upscale spots (DOSC, Del Posto) to some of the city’s most well known names (Dorinku Osaka, Farrow Sandwiches). In short, it’s everything you can ask for, and more!

EDMONTON OILERS

WINTERRUPTION

Showcasing dozens of locals bands, singers, and comedians, this concert series kicks off this weekend and will run for over a week! There are too many good names to count, and what’s more, a fair number of them are free to see.

CHECK OUT A HIDDEN BAR

HIT A GOLF SIMULATOR

Golf season is right around the corner! That means it could be time to brush up on your swing, and a trip to a golf simulator is the easiest way to do it. Plus, your less than scratch friends won’t feel rushed on every shot.

HOP IN A GO KART

Continuing on the indoor activity line, there’s Drive! at West Edmonton Mall. As North America’s only 3-level indoor track, this high octane (except electric, so maybe voltage?) option will have you begging for one more race time after time.

JANE EYRE AT THE CITADEL THEATRE

A new show recently opened at The Citadel Theatre! Enjoy a world premiere of a new take of the classic tale of Jane Eyre, which was written back in the 19th century and has proven itself as a timeless story.

GRINDSTONE THEATRE

For a live event option that’s a little less done up, we’re recommending the Grindstone. They’ve got 3 back-to-back events on Friday, with two comedy shows rolling into a house music concert!

WORLD WATERPARK

For something even more tropical, you can’t go wrong with this massive waterpark. Ride some slides, hang out in the wavepool, grab a bite to eat… it’s the perfect after work unwind. Heck, take the day off and go have a ball here and with some go-karts.
