Originally scheduled for January but postponed due to public health restrictions, Winterruption has announced new dates for early spring in Edmonton! The celebration of music, comedy and more will now be coming to the city at the end of March, in its second ever instalment.

Winterruption first came to the city back in 2020, offering a winter version of a music festival focused on showcasing local talent. The festival then took a hiatus in 2021, but was planning on a return this January. Unfortunately, that coincided with the rise of the Omicron variant, so it was postponed once more.

However, new dates have already been set! Slated to kick off on March 31st, Winterruption is bringing a long list of concerts, comedy shows, free outdoor music, and even drag events to Edmonton. You’ll be able to enjoy all these events at a variety of venues, ranging from local theatres (The Starlite Room) to restaurants and bars.

Tickets for the festival are available in a few different formats. You can grab tickets for more popular single shows, bundle some concerts together, or go all out on a festival wristband. Honestly, at just $45 and offering access to every show, the festival wristband is the way to go for people who want to make the most of it.

But, whatever you’re feeling, definitely check out this festival when it finally returns to the city!
