Canada’s best new restaurant is in Toronto & here’s where

We know that Toronto has one of the (if not THE) best restaurant scenes in the country. And it looks like Air Canada’s enRoute magazine thinks so too. The top 10 list of Canada’s Best New Restaurants is out and three Toronto eateries made the ranking.

If you have yet to try these spots out, you’ll definitely want to now. Coming in first place is Toronto’s Restaurant 20 Victoria. Located right at, you guessed it, 20 Victoria St. According to Air Canada, the restaurant features “an upfront bar area for à la carte plates and an elegant dining room and patio for the six-course tasting menu.”

The next Toronto restaurant to make the list is MIMI Chinese in third place. If you ever tried to get a reservation here then you know how hard it can be to find an opening in its dining space. Good luck trying now.

Last but not least, Toronto’s Fonda Balam was added to the list and grabbed a spot in 7th place.

The list was curated by journalist Nancy Matsumoto after exploring 17 cities across Canada and dining anonymously at more than 30 establishments nominated by an expert panel.

The city’s restaurant industry has definitely received the recognition it deserves in the last few months. And now it’s time to show our appreciation by treating ourselves to their delicious menus. Good luck getting reservations now!
