Toronto’s first ‘integrated lifestyle’ bubble tea cafe opens at Eaton Centre

Toronto practically has a bubble tea cafe on every corner, but this one claims to be the first of its kind in the whole city. Benkei Hime just opened its doors at CF Eaton Centre and it’s not your average boba tea spot.

Benkei Hime is described as an “integrated retail experience that marries hyper-unique bubble tea drinks with popular streetwear and lifestyle merchandise,” according to a press release.

“Benkei Hime is slated to become a focal meeting point of various worlds. On the surface, it is a place that meshes one-of-a-kind bubble tea drinks with fashionable lifestyle merchandise,” it says.

“Dig deeper, and you will see that it seeks to also be an innovative way to connect Eastern and Western cultures harmoniously.”

As for the boba tea menu, you’ll get to try unique flavours like Caramel Sea Salt Pearl Milk Tea and Hazelnut Creme Brulee.

Between streetwear shopping and milk tea sipping, the cafe’s vibrant colours and Instagram-worthy decor make for some great photo ops.

A second Benkei Hime location is set to open at Markham’s CF Markville Mall this summer. Seems like this could be the start of a new trend!
